Cherrywood Garden Studio

These paintings begin as castings of plants from our garden. I pour concrete into a mold that contains leaves or flowers and then after it is dry, I work back into it with layers of Venetian plaster and oil paint. They offer me the chance to pause time and archeologically preserve seasons of our garden. Spring and fall are my favorite.
