I’m glad you’re here and thinking about showing your art in the garden. Here are more details:

  • If you’re my former student, 1990 – 2023, you are invited to participate! It doesn’t matter where you live, how old you are, or what kind of visual art you make.
  • If you haven’t made art in a long time, but wish you did, let this be a kiickstart to get you creating again! Making art is good for you.
  • If you live far away and your artwork needs to be mailed, that’s OK. You can mail it.
  • If you can’t attend the reception, but still want to show your art, I’ll share a video of the event.

Once I have a handle on how many people are interested in displaying work, I will let you know how many pieces you can submit, and how many guests you can invite to the reception. If you’re delivering your art, we will arrange a drop-off time as it gets closer. Whether it’s mailed or hand delivered, I will need to receive your work by June 14th. More details are included on the sign-up form, and you’ll get more info if you sign up.

The reception on June 21st is invitation only, and is free to my former students and their guests. It will be a relaxed opportunity to reconnect with people who you have at least two things in common with…art and me! Pricing work to sell is encouraged but not required. Work does not have to be for sale. A rain date of June 22nd will be used if necessary.

If a piece sells, 100% goes to the artist and the piece can be taken home that day. Purchases can be made using Venmo or cash which will be handled directly by the artist. The show is not open to the general public.

Ready to sign up? Please fill out this form by June 1st to register.

If you’re not quite ready to show your art, but want to come to the reception as a guest, email me at karenkiickart@gmail.com, and I will put you on the guest list!

The idea for this show was inspired by students I taught two years ago (Sophia, Elise & Nora) who expressed wanting to have an “Artroom 14 Reunion.” It’s evolved from that idea and is happening now because of several recent and serendipitous meetings with former students.  It has given me a gut feeling that we could all use something like this. Plus, I thought it would be fun! If you agree, let’s reconnect with art in the garden and celebrate the summer solstice!

Check out the garden and the space.
